Practical Session 2 Update - Bahrain

We appreciate how much the cancellation of our exams has affected learners and we are working hard on solutions to ensure learners can gain their qualifications at the earliest opportunity.

However, on the basis of official and local advice we will be cancelling Session 2 Practical exams scheduled for November-December. We are very sorry for the impact on teachers and candidates and we will continue to monitor the situation. Thank you for your loyalty and support while these restrictions remain in place.

We will be gradually rolling out remotely-assessed Performance Grades and will share exam dates and booking periods soon

Bangkok Opera Foundation

Bangkok Opera Foundation (Opera Siam) leads a dynamic educational programme each year, including a number of orchestral, opera and choral music camps, numerous performances, and regular international tours. Founded in 2010 by Somtow Sucharitkul, the Siam Sinfonietta was designed to create world-class classical musicians from the most talented young Thai performers. It has gone on to win many top prizes, and performed at three in festivals in Carnegie Hall. Graduates of the program are acknowledged as some of the finest young musicians in the region. The acceptance of students into the program is on a 100% scholarship basis. They do not charge anything to the students or their parents in order to ensure that all are eligible regardless of financial status. ABRSM has supported this programme since 2018.
